The Rumor Goes Ever On and On

So now MGM is saying they're in talks with New Line and Peter Jackson to very probably bring The Hobbit to the big screen. Guess fans have been petitioning. At least we know that if Jackson does it, it'll be about as good a film adaptation as possible. I know Megan said she hoped they'd just leave it alone, not do it -- but I'd love to see a big colorful adaptation. Just wonder if they'll include those sappy folk songs used in the Rankin/Bass cartoon?! Hehehe. I know most of those were some kind of adapted versions of Tolkien's poems from the book, but that music... puh-leeeez...
