Miracle??

So, what did you think of these stories? Or of her commentary on holiday movies ("And Twelve to Watch") & stories? I don't know how she could leave out a couple of the seasonal perennials, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the classic Rankin/Bass cartoon, and Christmas in Connecticut starring the great Barbara Stanwyck? Yet she included While You Were Sleeping and The Three Godfathers?? Whatever.
See ya Sunday.

Christmas stories are a difficult lot to judge. For many of us they speak to strong emotional connection we have to our childhood memories. I suspect that's what's behind a lot of Connie Willis's preferences.
Me, I have very fond memories of many German Christmas stories. I couldn't say if any of them were really any good, objectively speaking. In fact, some of them were probably appalling.
But that's Christmas stories for you.
